We are currently seeking a friendly and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 community access support for a young gentleman.
This is a straightforward, enjoyable role where you'll spend time together in the community, assisting him to attend appointments, visit cafés, go shopping, enjoy local outings, and participate in activities that interest him.

About the Role

This role involves supporting one young gentleman to access the community and enjoy meaningful activities while encouraging independence and social participation.
Your responsibilities may include:
  • Attending appointments.
  • Visiting cafés or having lunch together.
  • Going shopping or running errands.
  • Visiting parks and local attractions.
  • Supporting recreational and leisure activities.
  • Encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Providing friendly companionship and conversation.
  • Supporting the participant to achieve their NDIS goals.
This is a low-intensity, community-based support role where building rapport and providing reliable support are the key priorities.

Essential Requirements

  • Active ABN (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Australian working rights.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR.
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for community access.
