About Discover Nursing Australia
Discover Nursing Australia is a nurse-led disability support provider committed to delivering person-centred support that respects each participant’s dignity, preferences and choices.

We engage Disability Support Workers as independent contractors, with guidance from our Registered Nurse and coordination team.

About the Participant
The participant lives in a shared home and requires regular prompting and practical assistance to maintain daily routines, manage appointments and participate in activities of his choosing.

His border collie is an important source of emotional support and is expected to return to the home. Applicants must be comfortable working around dogs.

The participant has expressed a preference for a mature female support worker, where possible. Compatibility and the ability to establish a trusting professional relationship will be important considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide reliable collection and transport home following dialysis.

  • Maintain accurate progress notes and communicate relevant concerns promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with the participant, his plan nominee and the nursing and coordination team.
